Remembering What Christmas is Really About

First, I would like to apologize. This new REALLY?!? was conceived, drawn and scanned during my lunch break...and does not do justice to what I had in my head.

This new toon isn't anything new....you may have seen something like it before. But in all the hustle and bustle of the days leading up to Christmas we sometimes forget what Christmas is REALLY about. I wanted to do something that reflected what I was thinking. Its my twist on an old idea.

In case you have forgotten too...this is what Christmas is about...

The true meaning of Christmas is love.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." -John 3:16-17

The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of love.

God loves us so much and saw that we needed a savior. The real Christmas story is the story of God's becoming a human in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Why do we celebrate Christmas each year? Out of gratitude for what God did for us, we remember His birth by giving each other gifts, worshiping Him, and being especially conscious of the poor and less fortunate.

The true meaning of Christmas is love.

OK ... so you did this on your lunch break? I couldn't draw something like this if I had 10 hours.

Great reminder!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
