The REALLY?!? Process

Recently I've had a number of people ask me about the process of creating one of my cartoons.
I would love to pretend that it is a difficult and laborious process. That way people would think "wow, he is soooo talented and works soooo hard." But, the truth is that the process is actually quite simple (if not time consuming
at times).

This post is in response to the questions about "the process". Let me see if I can illustrate (Literally).

STEP 1:
Think of an original, awesomely, hilarious idea.

STEP 2:
Sketch out that idea in pencil.

STEP 3:
Erase, erase, erase...throw away...sketch, sketch, erase, erase, throw away.

STEP 4:
I use a simple Ultra Fine Point Sharpie to "ink" the drawing.

STEP 5:
Erase pencil marks, add details, scan to electronic form.

STEP 6:
Add text, place into "panels" and post to blogspot.

VOILA!!!

Hmmm. And here I was thinking drawing was difficult. For some of us, anyway...
